About Our Restaurant
Whiskey Smoke 808 was born during the COVID shutdowns, when the world slowed down but our family grew closer. In the middle of uncertain times, we leaned into what we love most: cooking and sharing food. What began as backyard barbecue quickly grew into something bigger, as neighbors gathered and community formed around the smoke.
From those humble beginnings, we opened our first small-town spot on Oʻahu, and before long found our permanent home in Kāneʻohe. Today, Whiskey Smoke 808 blends the bold, smoky flavors of Texas-style BBQ with the flavors of Hawaiʻi, creating more than just a place to eat. It is a space where family, friends, and visitors come together, where every plate is made with love, and where everyone feels at home.
Our slow-smoked pulled pork is tender and juicy, our burnt ends are rich and caramelized with just the right amount of char, and our brisket has earned its name as the best on the island…smoky, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Every bite gets even better with our house-made BBQ sauces, from the sweet tang of lilikoi, to the kick of guava chili pepper, to the bold smoothness of coffee bourbon.

For two people, we ordered the 2 meat plate and two sides. Side portions coleslaw and potato Mac were small but it complemented the meat. Well seasoned!”

About Story
Started making bacon, sliders, and sausages. Trying out new things. Friends and family would come over and encourage us to start a business.
We started selling out of our house. A lot of neighbors showed lots of support towards our family.
First month opened up in Kailua. Things were going great and we were getting a lot of new customers coming and spreading the word about our BBQ
Had our first ever vending event at IRep Detail Supply. Ever since that event, things started blowing up in the best way possible. With a lot more customers coming to our location in Kailua it started getting hard to keep up with demand due to space.
Decided we needed more space and a better location to get our name out there even more. A bunch of our friends came and helped us pack up and head to Kaneohe.
After 6 weeks of non-stop hard work remodeling our new space with our bare hands we finally opened up our first brick and mortar. The support was huge from fellow business owners and the Kaneohe Community. We found our home.
Thanks to Danny Casler we were vending at the Hawaii Tattoo Expo for the first time ever. Met a lot of people from around the world and they spread the word about our BBQ back where they were from.
Thanks to Stephen Kina we headed out to Texas for an Open Fire Meat Up and teamed up with some of the best pit masters of the world. We met a lot of outstanding people and we sure got our name out there.
